Hibernian defender Darnell Johnson was given a two-game ban because of his battle on the Emilio Izaguirre of Celtic.
A hearing took place on Tuesday at Hampden after the Easter Road team opted to contest the proposed sanction.
Leicester City loanee Johnson was booked by referee Craig Thomson due to his battle.
The January recruit had been making his debut Hibs – who are still searching a new head coach – in Celtic Park.
He’ll miss the Leith side’s next two games fixtures in home to Hamilton Academical and away to Dundee.
Hibs and Celtic will meet again in March in Easter Road in the Scottish Cup Quarter Finals.
