Bowler Alfonso Thomas and former captain Jimmy Adams have combined Hampshire as assistant trainers.

Adams retired from playing at the close of last season and also can revolve around dealing together with the 2nd XI.

Thomas, 42, is always to work with the bowlers of Hampshire and has coached several sides.

The pair unite Firstteam manager Adrian Birrell, who replaced Craig White in December, at the Ageas Bowl.

Their 20-19 County Championship campaign opens with a home fixture against Essex, starting on 5.
