Williams have cancelled a projected’shake down’ conduct of their F1 car before it being built by the first official preseason test because of delays.
The team, that were bottom of their constructors’ championship this past 12 months, had planned to get a”filming afternoon” at Barcelona on Sunday.
Williams state they are currently attempting to maximise development time.
“We’ve experienced a competitive technology programme over wintermonths,” said deputy team chief Claire Williams.
“As such, we have decided not to conduct our car during our filming day that weekend in order to permit the team to maximise time at the factory before we head to Barcelona for the initial day of their evaluation 18 February.”
When mileage is limited to 100km, f1 teams are allowed a small selection of filming occasions each calendar year and the car must run on non-race tyres.
