The Giants have agreed to a deal with free-agent infielder Yangervis Solarte, according to a report by The Athletic’s Robert Murray on Friday.

As stated by MLB Network insider Jon Heyman, Solarte’s deal will probably be for $1.75 million with an additional $250,000 available in incentives when he makes the Major League roster. The deal hasn’t been affirmed by the club.

Solarte spent the 2018 season hitting on .226/.277/.378 with 17 home runs and 54 RBIs in 122 games. He’s averaged 1-5 homers per year.

The 31-year-old that is versatile gives some in field depth to sanfrancisco; Solarte may play second base, third base and short stop, and it has played some first base.
