The reigning NASCAR winner was fourth on the final lap Thursday night in the qualifying race when he pulled out online to generate a pass for the lead. He got a strong push against Team Penske teammate Ryan Blaney to maneuver into the front.
Logano made an area in the second row for the Daytona 500. He will start close to Kevin Harvick, that won the first qualifying race.
