PITTSBURGH — The Pittsburgh Penguins have triggered defenseman Justin Schultz off injured reserve.

Pittsburgh made the movement on Friday, clearing the way for Schultz to play for the first time since fracturing his leg that was left four months in Montreal. When Pittsburgh hosts Calgary, he’s expected to be in the lineup Saturday.

Schultz has never played since he was injured from the first period of a shootout loss to the Canadiens on Oct. 1-3. The 28-year-old has four assists in four games this season.
