On 5 October 2018, the IHF Ethics Commission issued a decision about the Behavior of This Chairwoman of This IHF Commission for Development (CD), Mrs Raquel Pedercini, during and after That the IHF Council meeting held in Zagreb, Croatia on 14 January 2018. As the IHF Ethics Commission believed her behavior a violation of the IHF Ethics Code, specially Article 5, the IHF Ethics Commission chose to suspend her directly to participate in three consistent official meetings from the IHF Council according to Article 9 of their IHF Ethics Code. October 2018, mrs Pedercini was notified of the IHF Ethics Commission decision by email of 9.
On account of the fact the IHF Ethics Commission chose to also inform the IHF Council of its decision, the matter was first presented for the IHF Council in its meeting at Doha, Qatar on 18 October 2018. The IHF Council took notice of the decision of the IHF Ethics Commission and reluctantly decided to inquire Mrs Pedercini to step from her place as Chairwoman of their IHF Commission for Development. Mrs Pedercini was notified of the IHF Council decision by letter of 16 November 2018.
On 24 January 20-19, the Canadian Team Handball Federation (CTHF) sent an official letter to the IHF, where Mr David Lee, CTHF Acting President, informed CTHF President Mrs Raquel Pedercini has been removed in her capability in almost any connections involving the CTHF and IHF.
The whole matter was presented for the IHF Council at its final meeting in Herning, Denmark on 28 January 20-19. The IHF Council members believed that the continuity of Mrs Pedercini’s behavior inspite of the decisions of the IHF Ethics Commission aged 5 as well as the different communications as well as their IHF Council dated 18 October 2018. Due to the serious and repeated violation of her responsibilities as member, the IHF Council reluctantly decided to suspend Mrs Raquel Pedercini as Chairwoman of their IHF Commission for Development so when IHF manhood with immediate effect until the following Congress according to Article 14.3.25 of this IHF Statutes. Thus, she will lose her membership rights, and other members might not assert sporting contact with her based on Article 8.4.6 of those IHF Statutes. As per Article 8.4.7 of the IHF Statutes, the suspension will be verified in the XXXVII Ordinary IHF Congress at Gothenburg, Sweden on 3/4 July 20-19.
On 13 February 20-19, the Canadian Team Handball Federation concluded she didn’t fulfil her obligations to serve in the best interest of CTHF and informed that the CTHF Board of Directors s performance through the years. CTHF informed that the CTHF Vice-President had invited Mrs Pedercini to measure or she’d face a settlement to be removed from the Board of Directors. Thus, in an interview held on 12 February 20-19, the CTHF Board of Directors decided to remove Mrs Pedercini since CTHF President for ethics misconduct.
