goalkeeper Wayne Hennessey is to competition an FA fee in making an alleged Nazi salute during a supper with team-mates.

The 32-year-old was given until 16:00 GMT on Friday to respond to the bill.

The Wales international before said any resemblance to the Nazi gesture was”absolutely coincidental”.

The Football Association explained that the action breaches its rules relating to conduct and also brings the game into disrepute.

It is alleged Hennessey’s is an’aggravated breach’ because it included mention of religion, race, cultural origin or belief.

A hearing date will probably have to be set by the FA.
