It’s unclear what the official name of McKenzie will probably soon be, but he’ll have iNFLuence helping manager Chris Grier reconstruct the Dolphins into a contender.
It was not too long ago that McKenzie was believed one of the NFL’s top overall directors. He won the Pro Football Writers of America Executive of the Year award in 20-16 while playing with a Substantial role in raising the Oakland Raiders from 3-13 at 2014 to 12-4 in 20-16.
The Dolphins hired former Buffalo Bills national scout Marvin Allen as assistant general manager earlier this offseason together with several internal promotions.
Grier has been encouraged to oversee football operations after former vice president of football operations as well as the 2018 season when trainer Adam Gase was terminated Mike TanneNBAum was sentenced.
McKenzie may help Grier and new trainer Brian Flores steer the Dolphins out of mediocrity. Miami has finished between 10-6 and 610 in each of its last 10 seasons, and owner Stephen Ross has made it clear he wants it to change beginning in 2019.
