Jimmie Johnson‘s chances of winning a third Daytona 500 ended with an odd crash on pit road.

Johnson was running near the front of the area and trying to pit when Cody Ware along with his Rick Ware Racing Team Mate B.J. McLeod started a busted which damaged Johnson’s No. 48 .

Ware and started slipping across the track and McLeod collided. They slammed in to Tyler Reddick, that got surgically and smashed to Johnson. Ricky Stenhouse Jr. also was included.

Johnson’s car continued considerable injury including across the fueling area.

This had been the third accident for Johnson in as many races during Speedweeks. He turned Paul Menard in the exhibition Clash, starting a 17-car crash, and then made an mistake and shattered Kyle Busch in a qualifying race Thursday.
