Marc Goddard has recently issued a collection of explanations and statements regarding his officiating at UFC 235.
The veteran swimmer took to Twitter on Thursday to answer a number of those criticisms he’s received because of his job from the co-main event, a UFC welterweight title fight won by Kamaru Usman over Tyron Woodley.
5. My usage of those language “it’s a struggle ” was perhaps not the correct wording. It had been the wrong option! I will used different wording, no question. I’ve got only admiration for his entire operation along with Kamaru. https://t.co/qTEpMMRAfr
Hi Luke, and firstly thankyou. I’ll address in detail this weekend together with @danhardymma however two or three points of note before then.
Inch. It turned out to be a 25 second 5×5 fight. There is a solitary stand up the whole entire fight. This came from the 4th round. https://t.co/qTEpMMRAfr
2. I don’t understand where or where came the notion “multiple standups ” (perhaps maybe not out of it’therefore what I watched wrote)
3. There was a total of 3 separations that the whole fight.
4. Have been totally misconstrued. I spoke in answer to Kamaru who asked why? https://t.co/qTEpMMRAfr
I try to be more respectful. We are just calling it like we see that, too. But there is an arrogance where you handle commentators, the fighters and many . And I believe it is offputting. 1 man’s take. And I’m that you ’ll give yours to hear.
@marcgoddard_uk I understand we’ve addressed it privately but openly WIShed to apologize to your own individual insult. I admire you as dad, a person, and practitioner and it is not my place to add in such a fashion, especially to the noise. Sometimes my fire is misdirected.
Goddard shut his string of tweets writing that he’s gotten “stern abuse” from individuals on media following fight and his wife and boy have received the same.
