SPRINGFIELD, Mo. — Former wide receiver Dorial Green Beckham has been sentenced to 3 months in jail after a Missouri judge ruled by a marijuana arrest amounted to probation violation.

The Springfield news leader accounts that Green Beckham was sentenced Friday.

Springfield authorities say Green Beckham had marijuana in his pocket after jumping from the house window while officials were executing a search warrant in December. No charges were filed, but Judge Jerry Harmison ruled that the arrest was a violation of custody at Green Beckham’s 20 17 driving while intoxicated case.

The attorney, Tyson Martin of green-Beckham, asked for treatment or counseling rather than jail time.

Green Beckham played at Missouri and has been a second-round choice of this Tennessee Titans at 2015. He had been traded into the Philadelphia Eagles and cut ahead of the 20 17 season.
