The Sauber entrance seems to be in the thick of this midfield battle, although perhaps not at the front of it had signaled.

Raikkonen said he had to discover the limit of al-fa ’s C38 but believes the team gets exactly the picture of this competitive sequence as the rest of the area.

“It’s mystery,” he also said of his team&rsquo. “We’re going to give our best and see what we get in the race and just work from there.

“We’re not 100% at which we want to be, but in case you asked anybody theyrsquo;d probably say the exact same. ”

Raikkonen has combined Alfa after five years with Ferrari, reuniting the 2007 world champion with a number of the employees he worked with at Sauber straight back in 2001.

Despite increased investment during the previous 18 months the Alfa/Sauber union continues to be very different from what Raikkonen enjoyed together with his employer.

He believes the team shows clear signs of ldquo;growing up”.

“It’S-A team that is smaller, we have less resource but I think they’ve done a fantastic position,&rdquo.

We have quite a few things to improve but we could proceed and provide a fight, determine what we buy from that point. ”

Raikkonen said there is ldquo; nothing unwanted & rdquo; by the ending of its work though Alfa appeared to slide two of examining.

“rsquo I don &;t even understand if we’re fifth or we have been 10th, I think it’s going to become quite close from the bunch,” he said.

“If you do your job you’re going to be much farther up than in case you’ve got an off-day or neglect ’t even get everything right.

&ldquoWe could only do the best we could and see what we get in the race. ”
