AVONDALE, Ariz. — Ryan Blaney turned into the fastest lap in practice and never slowed up into qualifying, setting his No. 1 2 Ford to the pole Friday for the weekend’s race in ISM Raceway near Phoenix.

Blaney turned into a lap of 141.287 mph to keep Penske Racing’s early-season victory moving.
