The Oakland Raiders have decided to some two-year contract with defensive tackle Johnathan Hankins, a source told ’s Adam Schefter.

Hankins, who turns 27 on March 30, started 14 of those 15 games where he played with joining the Raiders after Justin Ellis‘ foot injury in the season opener.

While he had been not a pass-rushing threat, Hankins did help from the run and was opportunistic in recovering two fumbles from ’s unlikely 45-42 overtime win from the Cleveland Browns in Week 4.

Hankins, who started 15 games to the Indianapolis Colts in 2017, led ’s defensive tackles with 36 tackles, including 21 solo.

The prior second-round pick, who played four seasons with all the nyc Giants, has 220 tackles, 12 sacks, three forced fumbles, two fumble recoveries and a blocked kick during his career.
