After having won the flyweight title in just her next bout in the branch, has her first title defense scheduled.

Shevchenko (16-3) is supposed to defend against in 238 on June 8 Chicago, in accordance with officials.  The bout was rumored for weeks, but hadn’t been confirmed until Monday.

Following a failed bid to wrest the title from Amanda Nunes in bantamweight, Shevchenko moved to the 125-pound branch. She conquered Priscila Cachoeira in her first flyweight bout, also was subsequently scheduled to challenge inaugural champion Nicco Monatano in 228 last September.

That bout fell apart when Montano was hauled to the hospital as a result of complications in her burden cut and has been stripped from this title.

Shevchenko fought straight queen to the vacant flyweight title at at December. She won the bout via unanimous choice.

Eye (14-6, 1NC) was on the verge of losing her spot in the roster after having gone 1 5 with 1 no competition as being a bantamweight before proceeding to the flyweight division.

Earlier in the day on Monday, it was also revealed that Tatiana Suarez would confront Nina Ansaroff at a straight competition in Chicago, whilst  would struggle jo anne Calderwood in another flyweight bout.
