HOUSTON — Golden State Warriors celebrity forward Kevin Durant won’t play Wednesday night against the Houston Rockets because of a sprained ankle.

“Kevin did not training,” Warriors head coach said after Tuesday’s practice. “He’ll overlook [Wednesday]. Just day-to-day, but he’s not prepared to play .”

With 6:34 left in law Durant came down to Suns centre Deandre Ayton‘s foot and turned his arm. He abandoned the game and didn’t go back.

Warriors officials weren’t concerned that it might have been a lingering issue, but Kerr has said repeatedly in recent weeks which the organization will have a cautious approach with players because the group prepares for that which it expects will be yet another long run.

Because of his role, Durant did not seem concerned about the accident. He got some shots up after Tuesday’s practice and will be reevaluated during the upcoming day or two.

After Wednesday’s game, that begins a four-game road-trip, the Warriors do not play until Saturday night against the Oklahoma City Thunder.
