The IHF and ITA officially began their partnership on January 1, 20-19. Under the agreement, the ITA will offer anti-doping services for a renewable period of two years and cover all areas of the IHF programme, and with the exclusion of in-competition testing that’ll continue to be managed by the IHF in cooperation with their various local organizing committees.
ITA Director General Benjamin Cohen stated:
“The ITA is very happy to join forces with the IHF, working together as another step in bolstering handball’s anti-doping programme.
“As federations and significant event organisers continue to opt for exactly the ITA because their anti-doping partner, we’re working hard to provide quality products and services and establish ourselves as a worldwide leader in the area. We now look forward to working closely with the IHF and also their athletes to make sure that handball competitions remain clean across the whole world.
IHF President Hassan Moustafa stated:
