Rachael Ostovich’s husband has pleaded no contest in an incident where he had been accused of domestic violence.
Arnold Berdon, additionally an MMA fighter, who took the plea for second-degree assault, a felony, on Thursday at Hawaii Circuit Court, per online court records. The no contest plea means Berdon will not contest the situation, but he doesn’t admit guilt. It is considered a certainty.
He’s facing five years of imprisonment and/or a $10,000 fine, per the plea record obtained by MMA Fighting. He initially pleaded simple . Ostovich competes from the UFC’s ’s strawweight branch.
Berdon is accused of assaulting Ostovich at the early morning hours of Nov. 18. Ostovich claimed Berdon “again ” struck her in the head, ribs and face, leading her to cough up blood and inhale.
Ostovich, 28, obtained a restraining order against Berdon in December that conducts through 2038. She’s also filed for divorce. Ostovich wrote at the restraining order filing this was not the first time Berdon abused her.
