Askren and Till teased the promotional fireworks a possible match up could bring on Friday at a buff Q&A until UFC London’s ceremonial weigh-ins. Everything started when a fan asked Askren because of his thoughts on a rematch against Robbie Lawler, that Askren defeated controversial fashion within his long-awaited Octagon debut at UFC 235.
“I don’t even think I wish to doit,” the former Bellator winner told the audience in The o 2 Arena. “I want to fight Darren Till. He’s right back . ”
After having a light however good-natured trickling of boos, Askren followed his reply by predicting that a match up against Till would “go extremely well” so for themself.
And just seconds later, the indigenous Liverpudlian — that was waiting for weigh-ins to begin — let their own feelings be famous, racing from behind the stage curtain along with his middle fingers raised high to the atmosphere, yelling “F*ck Ben Askren! ” within a funny scene which set off the London fans.
Obviously, the showman, “Funky Ben” didn’t even miss a beat. The undefeated wrestler promptly led the partisan audience onto a chant of “Dar-ren Till! Dar-ren Till! ” then dropped one final nugget before moving on to the next question.
“You guys see with his new teeth? “They look fine. I will have to go where he moved to get some new ones that are shiny. ”
UPDATE: Until reacted to Askren’s no challenge on the UFC London Weigh-In Show on ESPN+, stating, “Askren’s no fight comes, however Askren’s been at the UFC five moments. It’s not all about exactly what he wants. It’s about exactly what I desire. I’m , I’m No. 3. Seventh fight, fourth principal event. I call the shots, not Ben. And the champ is going to be calling the shots, therefore people ’ll see. I understand the champ would like to fight me. I’Id talked about it with him face-to-face. Therefore, all goes well for me personally Saturday, I’m praying and hoping, then I want to campaign for this title taken. ”
