La — Clippers head coach Doc Rivers and Chicago Bulls coach were ejected Friday night after what were a heated exchange near midcourt during their match at Staples Center.

Their ejections occurred using 1 minute, 14 minutes left in the third quarter, right after Clippers forwards Montrezl Harrell was whistled for an offensive foul.

It wasn’t immediately clear if Boylen left any comments toward Harrell or what might have ignited the exchange, but Rivers and Boylen instantly began engaging one another in a heated manner on the sideline until officials stepped down in.

Rivers and Boylen were each issued a couple of technical fouls, causing the odd sight of both coaches being ejected at exactly the identical moment.
