CLEVELAND — The Detroit Pistons will rest celebrity forward Blake Griffin to get a minumum of one game this week to keep him fresh as you can because of his or her ultimate postseason push.

Griffin will stand out Monday’s game against the Cavaliers after scoring 25 points in 33 minutes from Sunday’s win over Toronto. Coach does not h to overload Griffin as the Pistons (36-33) struggle to hang onto some playoff spot from the Eastern Conference.

Casey would like to avoid having Griffin play back-to-back games. After confronting Cleveland, the Pistons will play more games with this adventure. They’re at Portland on Saturday and see Golden State on Sunday.

The 30-year-old Griffin is averaging 24.7 points and 7.6 rebounds.

While the Pistons sit Griffin, the Cavs could be forward Kevin Love, who is questionable with a sore back. He even took a hard fall in Saturday’s loss at Dallas.
