Cardiff City midfielder Aron Gunnarsson is place to leave the club at the close of the season if his contract expires.

The 29-year-old declared up a yearlong extension following promotion into the this past year but has been connected to Qatari club Al-Arabi.

The Iceland captain could join former global boss Heimir Hallgrímsson, who took charge of the club in 2018.

Gunnarsson could be the blue bird’s current longest-serving player having played 278 matches, scoring 25 goals.
