Dillashaw also revealed that he would relinquish his UFC bantamweight title out of “equity and esteem ” to the rest of the branch before matter is resolved.
The prior bantamweight champion broke the news headlines of these findings and also his relinquishing of the title on social media marketing about Wednesday morning.
The post read:
“To all my fans, I WIShed to be the very first one to let you realize that USADA and the NYSAC have told me of an adverse finding in an evaluation extracted in my last fight. While words could ’t begin to say how frustrated I am at that time, please realize that I’m working together with my team to understand what’s occurred and how to resolve this situation as quickly as you possibly can. Out of equity and respect to the others of my branch, I’Id advised the UFC that I’ll be voluntarily relinquishing my title while I cope with this particular issue. I want to thank all of you beforehand. ”
He also noted that it is still uncertain what Dillashaw has tested positive for and that a proper statement should be made after that season.
