The Cincinnati Bengals are Resigning Corner Back Darqueze Dennard, ” a source told ESPN’s Dianna Russini Thursday.

Dennard, 27, has never quite lived up to expectations when he had been selected 24th overall by the Bengals in the 2014 draft. He had been a portion of a profound position group early in his career, which together with injuries, limited him to only four starts in the first 3 seasons of his livelihood.

Dennard emerged as a solid nickel corner back in the previous two seasons and has been the primary slot corner in 2018, appearing in 13 matches and overlooking three matches mid-season because of shoulder injury.

Even the Bengals offered Dennard a bargain this past year with an amount they considered fair to get a slot corner-back, however, Dennard elected to test the market alternatively, hoping to obtain a spot as another corner back.

The Bengals were content to let Dennard test the marketplace and re-engage in discussions if nothing happened outside. A market as another corner-back did not appear to surface for Dennard even though the Chiefs reportedly showed interest.

The Bengals signed cornerback B.W. Webb from the meantime as insurance if Dennard did not return, however, Dennard will likely take back his position as the third corner back using William Jackson III along with Dre Kirkpatrick staying on the exterior .

ESPN’s Katherine Terrell led to the report.
