Former Fiorentina, Parma and France goalkeeper Sebastien Frey has disclosed that he was’debilitated’ by way of a serious virus that’could have taken me a way’.
“I was hospitalised in a urgent situation with a fever of 40 degrees plus it wouldn’t come down,” he wrote on Insta-gram.
“They found a virus which debilitated me completely bitbybit and could have left me much from you “
The 39-year-old, who played top-level football for Turkish club Bursaspor at 2015, won 2 France caps.
“Luck would have it that I conquered this particular specific test. I shall get back in my feet when I have always done,” he added.
“I always played and now, with determination and strength, I’ll also win this battle.”
Frey began his career at Cannes, before playing Inter Milan, Verona, Parma, Fiorentina and Genoa in Italy.
