The Indian Premier League (IPL) could be the very populous Twenty20 league in the world, so much so that Bollywood has a backseat across the tournament annually as 1.3 billion Indians go cricket mad.
The 12th edition of this IPL gets under way on Saturday, together using 60 matches being played until 12 May.
There’ll be ball-by-ball commentary on BBC Radio 5 Live Sports Extra and on the BBC Sport website (UK only), beginning on Saturday when three-time champions Chennai Super Kings play Virat Kohli’s Royal Challengers Bangalore.
