Some Brazilian titles are inserted to the 2019 season of the Professional Fighters League, multiple sources told MMA Fighting.
The forthcoming period of the United States business Includes Light-weights Ronys Torres along with Carlos Eduardo Silva and welterweight Glaico Franca. Freddy Assuncao, that was likely to fight for PFL in 2018, will make his debut this past season as a feather weight.
UFC veteran Torres (37-6) continue fought in August, when he claimed the Shooto Brazil 160-pound tournament using a submission victory over Bruno Rodrigues. It had been his come back to Brazilian soil after making it to the trail FC million-dollar light weight tournament semifinal in 2018.
Franca (19-5) has been the Ultimate Fighter Brazil light weight winner in 2015, using four straight rear-naked choke finishes. “Nego” won six in a row as departing the UFC, capped off by a thrilling fourth-round finish over Takashi Sato to win against the Pancrase welterweight belt July.
Silva (11 1 ) hasn’t been active lately. The Nova Uniao fighter entered a cage for the last period in Nov. 20 17, when he caught the Shooto Brazil 165-pound belt using a jaw-dropping knockout over Felipe Douglas. “Carlao” will make his PFL introduction searching for his sixth win in a row.
Assuncao (10 1 ), twin brother of UFC bantamweight Raphael Assuncao, moved up to lightweight to win against the Titan FC tournament with a win within MMA veteran Gesias Cavalcante in Aug. 20-16, but has battled injuries since that time. He’ll reunite to 145 pounds to compete for PFL in 2019.
