However, spinners Scott Borthwick (2-55) along with Freddie van den Bergh (3-54) dragged Surrey back in contention.
Surrey’s England openers Mark Stoneman along with Rory burns off directed the reigning county champions to 20-0 in the end, which makes them 245 conducts behind.
Paceman Conor McKerr (3-40) had took the first two MCC wickets to fall, for example Tom Westley, who was bowled without scoring.
Essex batsman Westley is one of 3 players surrounded by England in Test level in the MCC side, the others being Somerset allrounder Dom Bess along with Nottinghamshire seamer Stuart Broad, who’s captaining the team in the standard curtain-raiser for the English domestic first-class season.
Surrey won their first County Championship title for 16 years in 2018 and start the defence of their crown against Essex on 11 April.
