Nate Diaz hasn’t scrapped at more than just two and a half years, however it seems he could be getting the itch… or he was just feeling a little bemused.

Diaz has twice fought McGregor, giving the Irishman his first defeat in the Octagon. He also even lost the second fight by means of a controversial decision in August of 20-16 and hasn’t place foot in the Octagon again since.

Your decision might well not have gone way, however Diaz fired an attempt McGregor on Insta-gram on Monday, saying, “Conor already got his ass beat double,” before rapping on Poirier.

Diaz appears to be prompted by a shot at Nurmagomedov, who’s now the UFC lightweight champion, but sidelined due to his instigation of a post-fight brawl using McGregor’s team at UFC 229 in October of 2018.

“Khabib is concealing scared reason I slapped the s–t out of him,” said Diaz.

Though Diaz is great at the callout and also submitted a video along with his comments about Insta-gram, he’s not likely to get the Khabib fight any time in the future.

Not merely is Khabib side-lined — he intends to sit out until October — however Max Holloway and Dustin Poirier are getting to fight at UFC 236 on April 1-3 in Atlanta, Ga.. That fight will be to the interim UFC lightweight tournament with an winner promised to be in line for Khabib if he returns to the Octagon.

There’so AND Diaz hasn’t exactly racked up a title-shot-worthy resume over his last couple lightweight trips to the cage.

Diaz (19-11) is 23 in his last 5 lightweight spells, which includes a loss to Benson Henderson in December of 2012. Henderson maintained the UFC name at the moment, but is now fighting underneath the Bellator banner.

In actuality, Diaz hasn’t even fought at 155 pounds since he conquered Michael Johnson on Dec. 19, 2015. Not exactly the type of rampup that should earn him a shot at Khabib, who isn’t merely the champion, but is also undefeated at 27-0 and hasbeen wrecking virtually everybody that the UFC has thrown his manner.

Still, that didn’t cease Diaz out of throwing it out there…
