NASHVILLE, Tenn. — The Nashville Predators have put forward Austin Watson to a long-term injury loan with their American Hockey League affiliate, a week later he earned reinstatement from the NHL.
The Predators announced Monday that they will have assigned both Watson and forwards Mikka Salomaki to the Milwaukee Admirals to some long-term injury loan.
The NHL announced a week ago that Watson was returned to open status as he entered the follow up phase of the league’s substance abuse and behavioral health program. Watson was suspended Jan. 2-9 since he entered the second stage of this app.
Watson also had served a suspension for the first 18 matches of this season after pleading no contest to a national assault bill in July. His girl friend , Jenn Guardino, issued a statement in October carrying blame for the incident in the parking lot of a gas station.
