NFL owners on Monday unanimously declared the Raiders‘ lease to remain at Oakland for one more season.

The owners’ vote has been that the last stage in the process following the Oakland City Council voted Thursday to accept the lease for 20-19 using an option for 20 20. The Alameda Board of Supervisors had sought early in the day last week in favor of this lease which had been officially approved by the Coliseum Authority last week.

The Raiders will likely pay $7.5 million in rent for the Coliseum and the clinic center in Alameda at 20-19 and also have a $10.5 million option for 2020 in case their newest $1.8 billion, even 65,000-seat arena in vegas isn’t ready at that time.

The Raiders began playing at the Coliseum at 1966 and so were there through the 1981 season before you go to Southern California.

The team plans to start that the 2020 season at the arena being built west of the Las Vegas Strip. Taxpayers are contributing $750 million to the undertaking.

The project has just faced flaws with the delivery of steel components. The vegas ReviewJournal reports substantial completion of this venue was pushed back by less than weekly to Aug. 4, 20 20. The center would host its first event immediately after.
