MILWAUKEE — The NBA’s winningest team couldn’t stop watching as the NCAA’s largest series — along with most-hyped potential — were pushed to the brink on Sunday afternoon.

Giannis Antetokounmpo, Pat Connaughton, Brook Lopez, Tony Snell, Bonzie Colson and also a gaggle of reporters were glued into two television screens playing the last few minutes of the Duke vs. Central Florida March Madness game at the Bucks’ lockerroom.

Because the Blue Devils and Knights — headlined from Zion Williamson along with Tacko Fall — fought, Antetokounmpo jumped up and down yelling he was excited to get 7-foot-6 Fall to go into the league so that he would dip him. From the seat in front of the locker, Lopez reported that once dip isn’t any longer a player, he should execute a Taco Bell commercial with all the”Yo Quiero Taco Bell” chihuahua.

Lopez reported that, in his bracket, he’d picked UCF to get this game. He has a principle: he selects Duke to get the tournament, or gets them losing during the very first weekend.

Antetokounmpo reported he did not have a rooting interest, but had chosen Gonzaga to win the name from his bracket. This was the first time that he had ever filled out a March Madness bracket.

“I don’t watch college basketball, but I saw a game earlier this season where they played Duke,” Antetokounmpo said. They were grown ass men. Big bodies, playing physical and playing smart, therefore that I like their team”

Duke be at UCF at a nail-biter that left Connaughton bouncing along into his seat and Antetokounmpo leaning his head missed shots down the stretch.

Moments later, it was not business as usual.

Antetokounmpo talked to reporters following the Bucks’ 127-105 success over the Cavaliers. His team shot just more than 55 percent from the area.
