Hall of Famer Jason Kidd, fired last season by the Milwaukee Bucks, said Monday he would want to contact training”at any degree ” Kidd’s name has come up as a possible replacement Wyking Jones at his alma mater,” California.

And team sources told ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski about Sunday that Kidd will soon be among the candidates to the la Lakers‘ training job when Luke Walton is disregarded.

“I think Cal is really a great institution. We’ll see what happens,” Kidd said Monday around the Bridge. “Right now, it’s great to be wanted. And it simply informs me I’m doing the right thing. And I feel the entire year off helps wash up some things, too, merely to re focus and possess energy”

Kidd said he would be patient at the process and he thought Walton had done a”incredible job” considering the Lakers’ injuries and additional distractions.

“We will wait until the season’s up to find out what opportunities occur,” he stated,”and, hopefully, there’s the one that matches” Kidd clarified the Lakers franchise among the better in the world.

“Not only in the NBA, but the world,” he said. “Therefore should you ever have the chance to wear the gold and purple, you can’t turn that down. As a trainer, as a player, because they are about championships, and thus they have a practice. They’ve a young team. And then LeBron (James) comes along with kind of hauled up things. So he would like to win now. But I thinkagainit takes time”

With the Bucks, Kidd trained Giannis Antetokounmpo, one of the leading candidates to be the league’s MVP this season. Kidd said getting the chance to trainer James,”the best player on earth,” would create taking the Lakers project a no-brainer in case it were sold.

“If you talk about the best player in the world, you always are going to say yes because as a trainer or being a teammate, he is going to make you better because you are definitely going to work,” Kidd said. “As a trainer, X and O, you got to be on point. And as a teammate, you are likely to work extremely hard because you realize he is going to want one to create that opportunity or come up with a defensive play.

“Therefore, that would be a fantastic honour to train some other elite basketball player, and I have that opportunity in Giannis. And, hopefully, somewhere down the road, I could have another celebrity “

The Bucks traded two second-round draft selections to the Brooklyn Nets in July 2014 to acquire Kidd’s coaching rights. In one season with the Nets, he’d accumulated a 44-38 record and chose the team into the play offs. He had been sacked Jan. 22, 2018, with the Bucks having fought to a 23-22 record.

He was also called for the NBA’s All-Defensive Team twice times. He won an NBA championship with the Mavericks at 2011 and has been a portion of two gold-medal-winning U.S. teams at the Olympics. He had been inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame at 2018.
