Portland trailblazers centre Jusuf Nurkic underwent operation on Tuesday and it is expected to produce a full recovery from a season-ending problems for his left leg, the team announced in a release.

There’s no timetable for his return to football activity.

Nurkic, 2 4, fractured his left tibia and fibula with 2 minutes and 22 seconds remaining in the second overtime of the Blazer’s win within the Brooklyn Nets Monday night, even after he jumped for a rebound and came down under the basket.

“It left me sick to my gut,” Blazers shield Damian Lillard due to the injury after the match Monday night. “I think he tried to tip it he popped the glass and I watched him hit the ground and roll over real quick, and I thought maybe he got hit on the face or something else again. As I was walking over there, I saw everybody else turnaround real quick and walk off, then I looked and watched his leg — and also you hate to see that happen to him.”

It’s really a crushing blow to the Blazers, who have been sinking lately even though a knee injury into CJ McCollum that has sidelined him the last couple of weeks.

Behind Nurkic, the Blazers have Kanter, that was signed up after being waived by the Ny Knicks, also Zach Collins.
