United Autosports has verified the return of Will Owen for its 2019 European Lemans Series Campaign, Including an entrance into the 24 Hrs of Lemans.

For 2019, the 24-year-old is going to be booted up with Alex Brundle and Ryan Cullen, forcing the 32 Ligier JS P217. The team’s #2-2 sister car is going to be piloted by Filipe Albuquerque and Phil Hanson.

Owen’s commitments with Juncos Racing, which have previously seen him compete in the Daytona 24 Hrs and Sebring 12 Hours signifies that he will be forced to stand out the ELMS’ opening round at Paul Ricard, as it clashes with the third round of the IMSA Weathertech Sports Car Championship at Long Beach in April.

“I am excited to announce that I will return to Europe this year with United auto-sports,” explained Owen.  “I’m in the #32 car, but this time around with Ryan Cullen and Alex Brundle.  I presumed I would have to wait somewhat longer to return with this amazing team, but this opportunity came quickly.”

“The opportunity to perform into ELMS again with a fast lineup of drivers and also a competitive car is something I couldn’t ever miss out. At the start of the year, I was not on the lookout for other driving opportunities given my devotion using Juncos Racing, but afterwards Daytona I realised again that any race laps I will purchase will continue to increase my pace and allow me to get to be the greatest driver I’m.

“Right now, I am more motivated than ever to set time into that goal and re joining a winning environment that I am comfortable with will provide more valuable experience”

“I owe a huge thanks to United auto-sports and their patrons.  With their help I could not have returned to the app quickly. I am glad our previous work together has helped open this particular door. I will skip the very first race which combats Long Beach, but afterthat I’ll be in for the last five rounds of ELMS. ”

Team owner Zak Brown commented: “It’so great to have completed our driver lineups for 2019 and signing Will is really a great addition once more to the team. We have four very strong lineup ups in the ELMS in 2013 so podiums, wins and championships is our aim. ”
