England all rounder Ben Stokes has just also signed a three-year contract extension at Durham to keep him with all the county before 2021.
He made his senior debut for England just two years after and it has gone on to play 52 Tests to his region.
“I really like playing for Durham and’m thrilled to be signing up a new long term bargain at which I learnt my trade,” he explained.
“I’m very passionate about helping Durham compete at the major level and also, if I am given any opportunities to play with this season, I’ll give everything into the bar.

Stokes made his England Test debut during their Ashes tour of 2013-14, and later made his first hundred in the third Test at Perth.
The left hander, who’s set to join up with the Rajasthan Royals in this season’s Indian Premier League, has averaged 33.89 and it has obtained 127 wickets in Test cricket.
“Ben is a shining example of exactly what young players can perform with hard work and dedication to really proceed alongside gift,” Durham chief executive Tim Bostock said.
