Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri believes England international Callum Hudson-Odoi will always be with all the club and may become one of Europe’s leading players.
He’s been connected with Bayern Munich as well as in the previous week more European clubs have shown interest.
“I am not able to state he’s likely to sign up a contract, however I presume he will stay here around in every case,” Sarri said.
Hudson-Odoi made his mature Chelsea debut in a FA Cup tie against Newcastle at January 2018 and made a total of four substitute appearances last term.
Even the academy graduate started the curtain-raising Community Shield match against Manchester City in August however his club looks happen to be mainly confined for the Europa League and domestic cup competitions this season.
Sarri considers the teenager’s development will be managed correctly.
“From the previous season, Callum was just 17 and he played with three or four matches. In this year, he’s really very young – just 18 – however, at the present time, he’s played 19 or 20 matches. I believe the development is the perfect development.
“Probably, he’ll play with 30-35 matches within the upcoming season and so I presume that, with Callum,” we are on the perfect path.
“He is now, I think, among the main players in Europe.
“Obviously he could be very young. But I genuinely believe he is really very strong. The character is really quite strong.”
Sarri confessed he simply saw 20 minutes of his winger’s full international debut as England came from a goal down to beat Montenegro 5-1, adding:”I had 14 players in the federal teams – I had virtually almost no opportunity to watch 20 matches.
“Callum didn’t start very well in the first 20 minutes to the best. He did very well on the left but I know him very well, and I know he wants to play on the left.”
