The 12-round conflict with Lejarraga defending his EBU European Welterweight Title has been encouraged by MGZ Promotions, who co-promotes Lejarraga together with DiBella Entertainment.

A huge celebrity in Spain, the 27-year-old Lejarraga is currently world ranked number 2 by the WBC, number 3 at the IBF, and number 5 at the WBA and WBO. The heavy-handed celebrity scored three knock outs in 2018. Of late, he stopped longtime contender Frankie Gavin at the fourth round on November 17, 2018.

Lejarraga will be facing his toughest competition in Avanesyan, with the Russian holding successes against “Sugar” Shane Mosley, for its diehard WBA Welterweight World Title, also Kaizer Mabuza. In addition, he’s battled former world champion Lamont Peterson and high contender Egidijus Kavaliauskas in very close struggles.

“This could be the biggest fight of my career and that I believe great,” said Lejarragasaid “& I ’ve had a very long, hard training camp and have left nothing to happen after over 150 rounds of sparring. It’s been the best training camp of my own career. ”

“Kerman looks faster and sharper than he has,” stated Inigo Herbosa, of MGZ Promotions. “He sparred with some top-15 world ranked boxers with this fight and did nicely. He’ll earn a statement knocking outside Avanesyan inside six rounds and all the top fighters in the welterweight division will enjoy notice. He’s ready for that big names. ”

“Avanesyan is just another huge evaluation for Kerman at what will be a sold-out stadium in Spain, at which Lejarraga is a large celebrity,” said Lou DiBella, President of DiBella Entertainment. “Following a triumph on Saturday night, I wish to bring him into the usa to get a high-value fight a known competitor, and then position him for a world title shot in late 2019 or early 20 20. I fully believe that he can be at a number of the greatest names in the profound and talented welterweight branch. ”
