Knicks second year point shield Frank Ntilikina was shut down for the rest of the summer growing season after aggravating a groin injury earlier this week.

Ntilikina had came back into the team last Friday by a groin injury that had sidelined him since late January. He played 25 minutes in a loss to the Nuggets, subsequently continued just seven minutes two days after in a loss to the Clippers before departing with increased visceral woes.

The Knicks state Ntilikina was assessed by the team’s medical team, which suggested that he miss New York’s final seven games.

Ntilikina, the Knicks’ first-round choice in 2017 (eighth overall), finishes the season with averages of 5.7 points and 2.8 assists per game in 43 games.
