Boxing chiefs at California have suspended Bulgarian heavy-weight Kubrat Pulev’s license once he”forcibly” kissed a female reporter on the lips during a meeting.
Footage appeared of Pulev embracing Vegas Sports Daily’s Jennifer Ravalo when asked about fighting Tyson Fury.
Pulev, 37, maintained the pair were friends, but Ravalo said she’d just satisfied the fighter each day earlier in the day.
Ravalo’s lawyer Gloria Allred said his actions were”undesirable and criminal”.
Csac included:”Before he will probably be licensed to struggle in California again, boxer Kubrat Pulev must come in the front of the commission and demonstrate he will conform to the principle of respect.”
Ravalo, that works under the name Jenny SuShe, said:”Mid-interview he grabbed my face and kissed me. I was shocked and embarrassed, and didn’t know how to respond.
“NextI walked to the table to place my items in my backpack. He caught both of my butt and squeezed with both of his hands. Then he walked off without saying anything for me and laughed.
“It made me feel uneasy and frustrated that Kubrat Pulev would cure me in such an unprofessional manner. I used to not support or consent to Mr Pulev catching my face, kissing me, or catching my backside.
“I was there at the event since the boxing match as a specialist participant of the media. Kissing a woman on her lips with no approval and catching her is not acceptable.”
She added:”No lady ought to be treated in this way.”
“Before he will probably be licensed to struggle in California again, boxer Kubrat Pulev must come in the front of the commission and demonstrate he will conform to the principle of respect.”
At a statement posted on Twitter on Monday, Pulev had said:”Jenny is obviously a friend of mineand after the meeting, I was elated, I gave her a kiss.
“After that evening, she joined me and my other friends at my post-fight celebration.
“On the video, once our kisswe laughed about this thanked one another. There really is nothing more for the .”
Ravalo said she was encouraged to a party after the struggle at which”there clearly was the opportunity to interview greater fighters”. She said Pulev”failed to combine until the end of this night”.
While there, she still also asserts Pulev”behaved like nothing happened”. He said later asked her”to eliminate the kiss from the meeting” – a petition she denied.
“I didn’t remove it instead posted it because I wanted visitors to find out what he’d done to me. I wanted him to be more liable,” she added.
Ravalo’s representative Allred is a top women’s rights lawyer and has represented clients that have filed suits against the kind of Donald Trump and Tiger Woods. She’s also the star of a Netflix show in the Usa, Seeing All-red.
Allred had written to Andy Foster, the California State Athletic Commission executive officer, and said:”Mr Pulev’s reprehensible battery and conduct violates California law in addition to the principles of the athletic commission.
“We request Mr Pulev’s boxing licence be suspended.”
During the news conference, Allred took part at a question and answer session, at which she said:”even if she was a friend he’d still need to request he certainly failed to. I think this can be considered sexual harassment.”
Vegas Sports Daily published a announcement on Monday describing Ravalo since the”victim of an undesirable, threatening and unexpected strong kiss”.
“We are working round the clock together using Jenny SuShe, and Pulev’s management team to investigate the issue and determine ideal steps/actions following this unfortunate occurrence,” it included.
“we would like to make it crystal clear that women should feel comfortable and safe to perform the duties of their occupation, without any misuse, progress, harassment, and so on, at the workplace.”
Pulev pulled of a world title fight with Britain’s Anthony Joshua at 2017 having a shoulder injury.
His 28-fight professional career has featured championships on Dereck Chisora and Hughie Fury and his sole professional loss was contrary to Wladimir Klitschko at 2014.
