While Busch will be choosing his third career NASCAR triple header sweep — he achieved it at Bristol at 2010 and 20 17 — he missed from the opportunity for one at his home track in vegas a month past with a third-place Cup finish after winning the Xfinity and Truck Series races. He missed sweep opportunities at Texas at 2009 and 2014.
“I’ve been close before. I do not know how often I’ve won 2 of the three. It has been too much,” Busch said. “therefore certainly to are able to pursue another here it’s good. This means a good deal .”
Busch led 3 3 of the 200 laps, obtained for the 3rd time in four Xfinity starts in 2013 and got his 95th career success in the series. He expanded his NASCAR listing to 203 wins complete, nine coming in 14 NASCAR starts this year.
He got his 55th career Truck Series win Friday night at Texas, also will start 16th for Sunday’s Cup race at the 1 1/2-mile track by which he won last spring. His 5 3 career Cup wins comprise three at Texas.
After the ninth and final warning Saturday, Busch and Xfinity Series points leader Reddick both went into pit road for fuel only.
“That is what won us the race, being and being in control of the restart, go where I WIShed to,” Busch said. “I got a great launch and has been able to get to single file before we got to Turn inch. That has been the most useful thing for us all day.”
Polesitter Christopher Bell directed a race-high 127 laps, recovering out of a speeding penalty on pit road after he directed all 48 laps throughout the first period. Bell finished third, ahead of Chase Briscoe along with Jeb Burton.
Reddick, Bell, Briscoe and sixth-place finisher Michael Annett qualified for your first Dash 4 Cash for your own Xfinity championship contenders. The top finisher of this quartet next week at Bristol can earn a $100,000 bonus.
