Kristensson started the second leg using a marginal 0.9sec advantage after Friday’s opening leg, but the conflict turned into even closer since the actions changed from the south east of Corsica into the island’s west mountain streets.
He extended his lead to a cozy 20sec in the opening speed evaluation when Julius Tannert dropped almost a minute with a puncture, handing 2nd place into ep &A Ring;dström.
The margin stood at almost 18sec at the mid-leg service in Bastia, but R&A Ring;dström attached hard through the day to bring down the perimeter to fractions of a second as his rival stuck into his policy of risk-free driving.
“The struggle for the guide this is incredibly close so exciting, ” I ’s really wonderful feeling to become part of it,” said Kristensson. “I have my plan which I will follow. Points, kilometres and endings are more important to me personally at the present time. ”
Tannert staged a great recovery following his hardening and stopped the afternoon simply 6.6sec off the guide. All three drivers have reached the wheel of Ford Fiesta R2 cars.
Jan Solans won 2 stages to hold fourth, however, the Spaniard damaged his back suspension this afternoon and is almost four minutes adrift. Tom Williams and Roland Poom complete the top six.
