Dallas Mavericks forward Kristaps Porzingis is being investigated in New York to an alleged rape a woman told police occurred last year, according to a ny Post report.

The girl told police on Thursday concerning the alleged attack, based on the Post report, which mentioned police force sources. The girl reportedly told police that she waited over a year to return because she’d discussed becoming $68,000 from Porzingis to keep silent.

“We’re aware of the criticism which was made against Mr. Porzingis on Friday and unequivocally deny that the allegations,” Riopelle said. “We made a formal referral to national law enforcement on Dec. 20, 2018,” based on the accuser’s extortionate requirements. We also alerted the National Basketball Association weeks past, and they are conscious of the ongoing investigation of this accuser by federal law enforcement. We can’t comment further on a continuing national investigation.

Porzingis was playing with the ny Knicks and’d lasted a torn ACL only hours before the alleged attack, and that the girl told police happened Feb. 7, 2018, at the Sky building in ny where Porzingis dwelt.

The girl, who reportedly lived at precisely the identical building, ” she’d accepted an invitation to Porzingis’ apartment prior to the alleged attack.

When asked if the Knicks were made aware of the episode, a group spokesperson said,”That is Kristaps’ personal matter and not associated with the Knicks.”

Porzingis was traded to the Mavericks earlier this season, however he has yet to play for themas he is recovering from his trauma.

Mavericks owner Mark Cuban, in an email to the Post, said that the team is aware of the accusation, however,”We’ve been educated by national authorities never to comment”

Cuban declined further comment when contacted by ESPN.

An NYPD spokesperson wouldn’t confirm the Post report, issuing this statement:”The NYPD takes sexual assault and all rape cases exceptionally badly, also urges anyone who has been a casualty to file a study so we can carry out a comprehensive investigation, and give support and services to people.”
