Plan International and the VELUX EHF Champions League ‘Team-up for kids!

At the last form of group period matches in the continent’s premier men’s team contest in early March, the VELUX EHF Champions League, all 20 teams participated in Plan International’s ‘synergy for children! ’ effort on site or via societal media. Additionally, nine out of 10 matches watched the opposing teams pose for a photo together in service of this ‘synergy for children! ’ effort. The objective of this effort is to advertise children’s rights and equality for females.

“All of kids nowadays have the exact rights. However, they usually do not all have the exact opportunities. This is why the participation of VELUX EHF Champions League, fans and players will be such an important sign as a way to advance children’s rights and equality for females worldwide,” said Managing Director of Plan International Wolfgang Porschen.

For your photo, the teams dwelt with the children presenting the flags for their individual match, in addition to a banner promoting the effort with a photo of a girl symbolising all kids worldwide.

The VELUX EHF Champions League was a committed partner to Plan International, who reach sponsored kids, families and communities across Africa, Asia and Latin America, as the 2017/18 season. Does the team aim to draw attention to Plan International’s work, but also show handball fans they may make a real difference by sponsoring kids in want.

Gorenje supplies big prizes in #simplyfansunited competition

In February, VELUX EHF Champions League regional host Gorenje established the #simplyfansunited contest, which intends to highlight the constructive soul among handball fans — a soul Gorenje believe is unique to the activity. The effort encourages fans to publish photos of these together with fans of opposing teams and use the designated hash tag for the chance to win tickets to the Champions League finals, the VELUX EHF FINAL4 at Cologne on June 1 and 2.

“Gorenje’s purpose is to simply take handball fans outside the boundaries of their home country and the team they have been encouraging; to erase racial, national and other limits and show the following level of cheering — cheering together for handball. This really is what the #simplyfansunited contest is all about,” reads the official announcement from the EHF, while manager of Gorenje’s Marketing Communications, Edita Gabric Zager says: &ldquoWe ardently believe in this partnership, the strength of game and the fantastic soul of fans. ”
