Crystal Palace goalkeeper Wayne Hennessey will face no punishment after a Football Association fee was found not proven through an independent regulatory commission.
Hennessey was envisioned in the air in a photo published on Instagram by German teammate Max Meyer following the FA Cup win over Grimsby.
The 32-year-old had refused the fee.
He said any similarity to the Nazi gesture has been”absolutely coincidental”.
The Wales international has said he”waved and yelled at the person carrying the picture to get on with it” and then”put my hand over my mouth to produce the sound carry”.
The FA had alleged the action violated its rules regarding improper, insulting or abusive behaviour and bringing the game into disrepute.
The body had also said it comprised an’aggravated breach’ since it included mention of the religion, race, ethnic origin or belief.
