Motherwell have prohibited a supporter”indefinitely” for throwing an object at Rangers’ James Tavernier on Sunday.

Items including a milder, coin and pie landed near to Tavernier as he took a throwin at Fir Park throughout Rangers’ 3-0 Scottish Premiership win.

Motherwell, after studying CCTV but photographs, have identified one buff and therefore are”continued to explore” a second fan who threw something.

Chairman Jim McMahon said that they”condemn the irresponsible actions”.

He added:”As a fan-owned and also fan-run club, we’ve tried to campaign for the rights of fans. We’ve been outspoken in our opposition to any proposal or notion of strict liability.

“However, with that comes a responsibility to act if some one of our own step out there, specially if we have such clear and obvious evidence.

“I’m certain that our fans know we are left without any other option but to just take a tough line approach with not merely both of these individuals, but anyone else who steps out online “
