Sacramento Kings general manager Vlade Divac is offering the coaching endeavor to Luke Walton, and there is confidence on either side that a deal could be reached fast , league sources told ESPN on Saturday.
Walton and divac have been meeting that weekend, sources told ESPN.
Walton mutually parted ways with the la Lakers on Friday after moving 98-148 within his three seasons as head coach of the team. He still had two years remaining on his five-year thing.
He finished his third season as head coach with a frustrating and disappointing 37-45 album at a season which began with massive expectations after LeBron James‘ arrival.
Divac fired Kings coach Dave Joerger on Thursday. Sacramento finished this season to 39-43 — that the most wins to its franchise as the 2005-06 season. Assistant general manager Brandon Williams also was allowed it go.
Sacramento averaged 114.2 points per game this year, which ranked ninth in the match, with point protector De’Aaron Fox growing into one of the NBA’s bright young stars. The team’s offensive outcome has been a rise of 15.4 points following the Kings finished last in the NBA in 98.8 points each game during the 2017 18 season.
