Noel Reid will join Premiership club Leicester from Champions Cup finalists Leinster at the end of the season.

The 28-year-old, who can play at centre or fly-half, won an international cap for Ireland against Argentina in 2014.

“He’s a natural footballer and versatile player who’s worked with top-class players at Leinster and Ireland,” said Tigers head coach .

“That experience will be very important to us over a tough and competitive season.”

Reid added: “I’m very excited to be joining a club like Leicester, with its history and success in the game.

“I’ve enjoyed my time at Leinster and it will be sad to leave the club, staff and players at the end of the season. It will always be special to me.

“To call Welford Road home and to be a part of what they are building under Geordan is going to be great and I’m looking forward to contributing alongside the rest of squad.”

Tigers are 10th in the Premiership but almost safe from relegation – they are eight points ahead of bottom club Worcester with three games left to play.

Leinster confirmed their spot in the an Champions Cup final against Saracens in May by beating Toulouse on Sunday.
