Tom Watson will have to wait a little longer before he makes his return to the cage.

“Kong” was scheduled to take on Aaron Khalid in a welterweight bout at Saturday night’s Cage Warriors 104 in Cardiff, Wales, but was removed from the card earlier Saturday. According to the promotion, Watson was not medically cleared to fight.

The former UFC fighter, who was going to fight for the first time since 2015, posted a video on his Instagram to address the situation.

Watson (17-9), a former BAMMA champion, competed seven times under the UFC banner between 2012 and 2015, scoring wins over Stanislav Nedkov and Sam Alvey in a 2-5 middleweight run.

The new co-main event now features lightweights Donovan Desmae and Mason Jones. In the main event attraction, undefeated Jack Shore puts his bantamweight title on the line for the first time against Scott Malone.
